Divorce is a stressful experience and for many women the stress continues after the divorce is final.  Many women have not been involved in managing the family finances and it can feel very scary to be taking responsibility and control over their finances.  Women want to make good decisions with the money they receive as a result of the divorce.  I work with women to prepare a financial plan that is tailored to their new life, needs, goals and possible supplemental income needs.  Women who have lost a spouse, commonly have a similar financial situation as those women who have experienced a divorce.
